Danish weekend for CSC Team

A CSC team visited the beautiful country of Denmark to work with one of the Top Danish Showbands Brovst Pigegarde. CSC was invited to help the band in their preparations for the WAMSB World Championships in Potsdam in July of this year. Rob Balfoort and René Ranzijn worked a weekend with the 40 girls who were very disciplined and have fun at the same time.

Friday evening and Saturday morning were spent on marching techniques and cleaning their show led by René Ranzijn. The afternoon en early evening Rob worked with the band on all of the musical arrangements and on some ensemble techniques. While Rob was working with the band, Rene did some rewrites on request of the Brovst Staff.

There was also an representative of the Danish Music Federation to see how the Corps Style Concepts approach is. CSC conducted some clinics last year for which there was a great interest on the side of the Danish bands. Brovst is the first band that signed on to this approach.

Sunday morning was spent on coordination of the rewrites and the whole show with Rob and René. The band worked really hard and is looking forward to the 2011 show which will be produced by Corps Style Concepts. The arrangements will be made by Rob while René will do the visual design.

Paul Doop is consulting the management of the Brovst Pigegarde on the change management side. The band wants to transform from a traditional showband to a modern marching band keeping the Danish traditions within the band.
